Poodles
PTK Ranch is dedicated to producing healthy and well-behaved puppies that will thrive throughout their lives. To ensure this, we meticulously pre-screen all our parent dogs. The parents of our Standard Poodle puppies undergo screenings for DNA, hip and elbow dysplasia, patellar issues, and cardiac health. Each puppy is handled daily, exposed to a diverse range of stimuli and experiences, and begins Early Neurological Stimulation as early as three days old. These measures are implemented to cultivate puppies that can effectively navigate the stresses of life.

Essential Information
Poodles are highly athletic, intelligent, and friendly dogs, offering an abundance of qualities to their companions. With their cheerful disposition and eagerness to please, poodles make fantastic friends for humans and serve as peacekeepers among other pets. Among the different poodle varieties, standard poodles stand out as the most athletic and agile, quickly adapting to training. Additionally, poodles are known for their low odor and minimal shedding compared to other coated breeds. While we cannot promise that our puppies will be completely non-shedding or hypoallergenic, we recognize that these sought-after traits often show up in their genetic background.

Colors
All our Poodles are genetically set to ONLY produce parti phantoms. This is so that when we keep one back, we know they will always produce a colorful Aussiedoodle with tan points and white markings.

A parti is a “spotted” Poodle. They can be either a classic parti with blotches of color and white, or a tuxedo parti that the body is mainly black with white legs and/or white collar.
A phantom is a Poodle with tan points. Tan points are typically seen as eyebrows, brown/tan cheeks, under the tails, and since the parti pattern creates white legs, if there is “ticking” (a freckle look) the lower half of the leg and chest will express the tan points as well.
